As we said the third Divine Person in the Holy Trinity is the Holy Spirit. There are very small
groups of people claim that the Holy Spirit is just a power (energy) of god not a Divine Person.
All Christian people on earth (except this small group of people) believe in the Holy Trinity (God
the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit). For those don’t believe, let them read the
following holy verses from the Holy Book:
The 1st Letter John 5-7 for there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word
“Christ”, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one.
The Father, as everyone will agree, is God. If the Father and Word and the Holy Spirit are
one, then the Holy Spirit is God because as Saint John said (for there are three that bear
record in heaven, the Father, the Word “Christ”, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are
one). To eliminate any doubt what so ever, we can add to the above verse, the following from
Saint John:
John 1:1-2 in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. The same was in the beginning with God.
So, the Word (Christ) he from the beginning, and the Word was with God and the Word is God.
If the Word is God, and Saint John said in his 1st letter 5-7 (for there are three that bear
record in heaven, the Father, the Word “Christ”, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one)
then the Holy Spirit He is Almighty God.
In Acts 3:3-5 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy
Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land? 4: Whiles it remained, was it not thine
own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? Why hast thou conceived this thing
in thine heart? Thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
You can notice two things in these verses. One, that Peter told Ananias he lies to the Holy
Spirit. Peter uses the third Divine Person in the Holy Trinity and if the Holy Spirit is the power
(or energy) of God it doesn’t make any sense for Peter to say you lie to the energy of God
when he could just say to Father. Second, if you continue to read the next verse you can see
clearly that Peter address the Holy Spirit “the third Divine” as God, “thou hast not lied unto
men, but unto God”
If the previous verse is not enough read the following:
Acts, chapter 13-2: As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, Separate
me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
The Holy Spirit indicates that he is a single person and speaks as a person: “the Holy Spirit
said”… “I have called them”.
If you continue to read, you will see how the Holy Spirit sends Barnabas and Saul unto Seleucia.
Acts 13 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Spirit, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence
they sailed to Cyprus. This indicates that the Holy Spirit sends… as God, the Holy Spirit is doing
the work of God by sending.
To add to the work of the Holy Spirit, we have the following:
Acts, chapter 20 verse 28: Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over
which the Holy Spirit hath made you bishops, to feed the church of God, which he hath
purchased with his own blood.
The preceding versus clearly indicate that the Holy Spirit speaks as a person, sends and
commands as a person, and made the representatives of Christ on earth (the Bishops). In
these actions, he does so as the works of God. From these verses, it is impossible to conclude
that the Holy Spirit is simply an energy or power of God.
